Royal Copenhagen Fisherman figurine no. 3668 - Axel Locher

Royal Copenhagen fisherman figurine no. 3668 is a characterful porcelain figurine that depicts a fisherman in a calm, upright posture. The motif is simple and down-to-earth, but precisely for that reason powerful. The figurine shows a man from the fishing environment wearing a sou'wester, dark blouse and light oilskin trousers, with his hands in his pockets and his gaze turned slightly to the side. This gives the figurine a thoughtful and lifelike expression, bringing to mind coastal life, work, and Danish occupational traditions.

The design was created by Axel Locher, who is known for figurines with presence and human gravity. Here, the maritime environment is interpreted in a stylish and calm design language, where posture, clothing, and a few well-chosen details tell the whole story. The glazed surface and the subdued shades in blue-grey and light tones emphasize the figurine's classic expression and make it easy to place in both traditional and modern interiors.

As a porcelain figurine from Royal Copenhagen, this fisherman also appeals to collectors of Danish figurines, maritime motifs, and occupational figurines. It fits beautifully as a standalone decoration on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection with other agricultural figurines, craftsman figurines, or motifs from Danish everyday life. It is also a fine choice for those who are fond of craftsmanship with history and wish to carry older quality design forward in the home today.

A figurine like this adds personality and narrative to the interior. It is ideal as a gift for a collector, for someone with a connection to fishing or seafaring life, or for anyone who appreciates Danish porcelain and classic figurines with motifs from working life.
