Fisherman figurine with fish and fishing rod marked GDR 22

This fisherman figurine captures a calm moment from life by the water. The figurine shows a fisherman standing with his fish in one hand and the fishing rod resting beside him, ready for the next cast. With hat, waders and shoulder bag, the motif gets a clear connection to fishing, outdoor life and the simple working life close to nature.

The expression is calm and down-to-earth, and the subdued shades of white, grey, brown and green give the figurine a classic touch. This makes it suitable both as a collector's figurine and a decorative porcelain figurine in the home. It works well on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of an arrangement with other human figurines, occupational figurines or motifs from country life and everyday life.

For collectors of fisherman figurines and figurines with an occupational motif, this model has a special charm. It tells a small story through the visible details: the caught fish, the fishing rod, the bag over the shoulder and the clothing, which underlines the figurine's connection to fishing. It is precisely such concrete features that give the figurine personality and make it interesting for both collectors and those seeking decorative art with character.

Older figurines like this often have a special ability to add warmth and individuality to the home. When you choose a figurine with history, it is at the same time a way to preserve good craftsmanship and give an existing quality product new life. This also makes it an obvious gift idea for an angler, a collector of porcelain figurines or a person with a fondness for maritime and nature-inspired motifs.
