Royal Copenhagen Thumbelina figurine no. 4374 - Holger Christensen

Royal Copenhagen Thumbelina figurine no. 4374 is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that brings H.C. Andersen's fairy-tale world into the interior. The figurine shows Thumbelina as a little girl sitting on a leaf, resting in a flower-like bowl shape. The motif is calm and poetic, and the fine composition gives the figurine a dreamy expression that fits beautifully among both classic porcelain and fairy-tale figurines.

Holger Christensen has created a figurine where the narrative is carried by the soft lines and the quiet pose. Thumbelina sits with her head slightly tilted and with a leaf drawn up in front of her, as if she has just landed in her little natural world. The muted shades of white, grey-blue and green emphasize the lightness of the motif and make the figurine suitable as a decorative figurine in the living room, display cabinet or on a shelf together with other Royal Copenhagen figurines.

As an underglaze porcelain figurine, the model contains the craftsmanship quality that many collectors and porcelain lovers associate with Royal Copenhagen. Thumbelina is at the same time a motif that has broad appeal - both to collectors of fairy-tale figurines, to those who love Danish design, and to you who are looking for a figurine with a gentle and narrative expression. It can stand alone as a small artistic eye-catcher or be combined with other figurines with children, fairy-tale or nature motifs.

This Thumbelina figurine is also an obvious gift idea for anyone who loves H.C. Andersen, Danish porcelain and figurines with history and personality. The little scene in porcelain has a calmness about it that makes it easy to place in the home, and it adds a touch of classic fairy tale and Danish design to the interior.
