Royal Copenhagen cow with calf figurine no. 800 Knud Kyhn 27 cm

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 800 with cow and calf is a warm and calm animal figure, in which Knud Kyhn depicts the close bond between mother and young with great sense of form and movement. The motif is low and reclining, and the figure radiates the quiet security that makes classic animal figures from Royal Copenhagen so sought after among both collectors and those who appreciate Danish design with character.

The cow lies protectively around the calf, which is placed close against the body. The soft lines, the natural posture and the fine transitions in the grey-brown and white shades give the figure life and depth. The glossy glaze beautifully highlights the modelling and supports the calm, harmonious expression. It is a porcelain figurine that works equally well as a collector's item, decorative figure or personal gift for someone who appreciates Royal Copenhagen and Knud Kyhn's animal motifs.

Knud Kyhn is known for his lifelike and atmospheric animal figures, and this model shows precisely his sure grasp of the animals' anatomy and nature. Cow with calf has an earthy and timeless expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. The figure can stand alone as a striking eye-catcher or be combined with other animal figures in porcelain to create a personal display with Danish decorative art and design history.

For many, older porcelain figurines are also a way to bring more soul and longevity into the interior. A figure like this is created to be preserved and appreciated for many years, and it adds both history, craftsmanship and a more sustainable alternative to new production to the home.
