Bing & Grøndahl annual figure 1994 Grizzly bear

Bing & Grøndahl annual figure 1994 with the motif Grizzly bear is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that combines animal motif, collector interest and classic Danish figurine tradition. The figurine shows a bear in motion across a light rock formation, where the body leans forward with lowered head and outstretched forepaws. This gives the figurine a lively and concentrated expression, which highlights the animal's weight, calm and natural strength.

The colour scheme supports the motif beautifully. The bear is executed in soft brown-grey shades with fine transitions in the glaze, while the base stands in light, cool tones that bring to mind stone, ice or snow. The interplay between the muted colours and the glossy glaze gives the figurine depth and a calm character, which makes it decorative both alone and together with other animal figurines from Bing & Grøndahl.

As an annual figure from 1994, this model belongs among the figurines many collectors look for precisely because of the year and the distinctive motif. It fits naturally into the series of B&G annual figures, where each individual year contributes with its own expression and its own story. For collectors, it can be an obvious addition to an existing collection or the figurine that completes the row. At the same time, it works well as a standalone porcelain figurine in modern home decor, where it adds character and history to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this one also hold a special joy in preserving good craftsmanship and letting it live on. A vintage annual figure from Bing & Grøndahl is not merely a collector's item, but also a sustainable choice for those who appreciate design with soul, quality and long lifespan.
