Bing & Grøndahl Alex on guitar annual figurine 2008 RC no. 1249534

Alex on guitar is Bing & Grøndahl's annual figurine from 2008 and a charming part of the series The little orchestra. The figurine shows a boy with a guitar and a small dog by his side, looking up toward the music and giving the motif life, warmth and movement. It is a porcelain figurine with a narrative expression, where the joy of music, childhood and the interaction between child and animal come together in a higher unity.

Sven Vestergaard has created an annual figurine that is easy to love and at the same time easy to recognize in the collection. The boy stands with his guitar in his arms, wearing a blue cap, blue trousers and a red scarf, while the dog sits close by his leg and appears to sing along. The colors and the fine details emphasize the figurine's lively motif and make it ideal for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, annual figurines and music figurines.

As part of The little orchestra, Alex on guitar also has extra interest for collectors who wish to expand or complete the series. However, the figurine works just as well on its own, where it can add a personal and atmospheric expression to a shelf, display cabinet or a small arrangement. The motif also makes it an obvious gift idea for music lovers, guitar players or collectors of porcelain figurines with children and animals.

Older porcelain figurines like this contain both history and lasting value. They are created to be preserved, collected and bring joy for many years, and that is precisely why vintage design and classic collectible figurines are a beautiful and sustainable choice. With Alex on guitar you get a Bing & Grøndahl annual figurine that combines Danish figurine tradition, narrative design and the joy of giving fine craftsmanship new life.
