Royal Copenhagen kangaroo figurine 5154 - John Galster

Royal Copenhagen kangaroo figurine no. 5154 is a characterful porcelain figurine with a calm and attentive expression. The kangaroo stands upright with its tail behind it and the small front paws gathered in front of the body, which gives the figurine a natural balance and a fine sense of movement at rest. The glaze plays beautifully in shades of grey, brown, and white, and the darker details around the head, paws, and tail highlight the model's form in a vivid way.

The figurine is designed by John Galster, who is known for his animal figurines with a sure sense of anatomy and personality. Here the kangaroo is interpreted in a simple, sculptural idiom, where the soft transitions and the glossy underglaze give the porcelain depth and sheen. It is precisely that combination of lifelike motif and stylized calm that makes the figurine interesting both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen and for you who want a decorative animal figurine with history.

As an older porcelain figurine, this model also carries the special charm that comes with classic design created to last for generations. It can stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a side table, where it adds personality and a touch of Nordic collector culture to the home. It is also an obvious gift for a Royal Copenhagen collector or for someone who loves animal figurines in porcelain with a rarer motif. Choosing a vintage figurine like this is at the same time a beautiful way to give existing quality design new life in a modern interior.
