About the item

2006 Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day plate with the title Rhino with calf was designed by Finn Clausen. The black rhino gets one calf every second to fourth year. The calf is born without horn. The mother and the calf are living together in two years and when the mother gets a new calf she shoos the older away. When the calf has been away for a while it comes back and lives together with the mother and the small calf. The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day plates were started in 1969 and are still being continued with a new Mother's Day plate every year.
