Bing & grondahl's Christmas plate from 1958 depicts Santa Claus with his bag of presents over one shoulder visiting a little girl on Christmas Eve. In Denmark it is tradition in many families, that one of the members of the family dress up as Santa Claus, and visit the children on Christmas Eve to hear whether they have behaved during the year, and if so, to hand out presents.
