As part of Bing & Grøndahl's famous Christmas plate series, this plate also carries a special design history with it. The series began in 1895 and was thus the world's first Christmas plate series. Since 1895, a new plate has been released every year, and each edition was produced in a limited quantity. After the year's final firing, the mould was destroyed, so that production could not later be resumed.

For collectors, 1958 is therefore a completed edition with its own story, its own motif, and its own place in the series. At the same time, it is a decorative plate that still fits beautifully into the home today.
