The year 2000 stands out beautifully in the series with its atmospheric motif from Dyrehaven, where Eremitageslottet is seen in the background, while deer in the foreground create calm, a winter mood and an almost fairy-tale atmosphere. The motif was created by the artist Lis Torbøl for Désirée's popular H.C. Andersen series. Here, the inspiration is not taken directly from one specific fairy tale, but from the landscape and the world that H.C. Andersen moved in and wrote from. The plate was made by Porcelænsfabrikken Désirée, which was a large and highly regarded Danish porcelain factory. It can also be used for food and works well as a dinner plate or cake plate in everyday life. At the same time, it is dishwasher safe and has holes on the back for hanging, so it can be used both on the table and as wall decoration.

In 2006, we purchased a remaining stock from Porcelænsfabrikken Désirée, and therefore virtually all our plates from the series are still unused, even though they were produced many years ago. This makes them a special opportunity to obtain older Danish porcelain that still appears relevant, usable and beautiful in a modern home.

The plate can stand alone as a collector's item, be included in a wall hanging with other Christmas plates or be combined with the matching cup from the series, which was produced up to and including 2001.
