1929 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Oluf Jensen, has as its motif The Tower of the Grundtvig Church. Royal Copenhagen's 1929 Christmas plate depicts the Grundtvig Church in the north- west part of Copenhagen. As it appears from this plate, the idea was to design this church with the church organ as a model. The church was named after a very signifi- cant Dane, N.F.S. Grundtvig, who was not only a historian and a poet, but who also created the first Danish folk high schools, and by depicting this church, the plate may also be seen as a tribute to Grundtvig. In the bright sky we see several twinkling stars. Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate 1929 was only produced in 1929 .
