This 2004 Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day plate in 1969. The motif of this 2004 Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day Jubilee plate is the same as the motif of the 1993 Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day plate. The motif shows a Sct. Bernhard Dog with puppies. The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day plate was designed by Allan Therkelsen. The St Bernard dog is known as a very good-natured dog with a quiet temper. Sometimes we see the St. Bernhard dog with a barrel of brandy around the neck. The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day Jubilee Plates were started in 1979 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year.
