Star Fluted Christmas Star Fluted Christmas symbols twine round a green garland of spruce on the finest cream-colored bone china. The garland adorns the rim of the plates, bowls, dishes and cups in the Star Fluted Christmas service. Angels, hearts and drums are tied together with a large bow of red satin ribbon. The bow is different on each piece, so it looks as if loving hands have set their own stamp on every single one. The Star Fluted shape is a Royal Copenhagen classic. When the idea for a new Christmas service was born in 2006, Royal Copenhagen's product development department delved into the treasure vault, where the firm's archives for the last 230 years are kept, and found the Star Fluted shape, which was first produced in 1895. The service is made from bone china, which is more translucent than ordinary porcelain and has a warmer, creamy white colour, giving the service a nostalgic, exclusive feel that goes beautifully with the red and green decoration on the service. Not suitable for microwave oven.
