Karen Blixen vases from Holmegaard
As Holmegaard celebrated its 175 year anniversary in 2000, the factory launched the Karen Blixen vase. The Holmegaard Karen Blixen vase was inspired by African women's neck and bangles, which was part of Karen Blixen's life on her farm in Africa. Karen Blixen vase provides good opportunity to decorate your home with lots of flowers, which was a great joy to the author Karen Blixen.
In addition to the vases, there are also also flower pots and candle holders available in the series. This allows you to keep the same style throughout the interior with candlesticks on the coffee table, flower pots on the windowsill, a vase on the dining table and the large vase on the floor. The white colour is the most popular and therefore candle holders, flower pots and all Karen Blixen vases are available in white, but only candle holders and the three table vases are available in red. The Karen Blixen vase has also been made in black and clear, but these are discontinued.

Shape vases from Holmegaard
Shape vases from Holmegaard was designed by one of the most popular glass artists - Peter Svarrer. The vases have a distinctive edge, where the flowers can be. They were available in many different colors and sizes. Furthermore, there were also matching bowls in the series.
Peter Svarrer has designed the Holmegaard Shape vase. The vase was originally called PS, named after the designer, but the name was soon changed to "Shape". The Holmegaard Shape vases that are in production now, are available in two sizes in clear and white glass, but the Shape vases have been produced in numerous colours. We still have few other colours in stock, sold as long as the stock last. There have been produced bowls in the series too, but they are discontinued. The Holmegaard Shape vases that are in production now, was launched in 2008, but the original vase can be dated several years back.
