Royal Copenhagen sparrow figurine no. 107 - white sparrow with tail down

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 107 depicts a small white sparrow with its tail down and a calm, thoughtful expression. The simple bird figurine has a fine, true-to-nature design language, where the round body, the low tail and the slightly raised head give the figurine both presence and personality. It is precisely this type of classic porcelain figurine that many collectors look for, because the motif is so recognizable in Danish porcelain art.

The sparrow is made in underglaze, which supports the figurine's soft surface and calm overall impression. The white appearance makes the figurine easy to place in the interior, where it fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a small detail on a desk, bookcase or windowsill. It also works well together with other bird figurines and animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen, if you want a personal collection of classic Danish porcelain figurines.

This Royal Copenhagen sparrow is an obvious choice for both collectors and those who are fond of older design with character. Figurines like this carry a special calm and materiality that make them relevant in modern homes, also many years after they were created. At the same time, it is a fine gift idea for bird lovers, collectors of porcelain figurines or for you who appreciate Danish design and decorative arts with history.
