Royal Copenhagen dachshund figurine no. 856 or 078 Lauritz Jensen 19x30 cm

Royal Copenhagen dachshund figurine no. 856/078 is a classic dog figurine in porcelain that combines lifelike charm with the calm, carefully crafted expression that many collectors appreciate. The figurine depicts a sitting dachshund with a long body, short legs and the characteristic soft ears. The slightly open mouth and the tongue sticking out a little give the figurine life and personality.

Lauritz Jensen has created a dog figurine with a fine sense of the breed's distinctive silhouette and nature. The flowing brownish shades and the glossy underglaze highlight the body's shape, the turn of the head and the small details in the face and paws. The result is a porcelain figurine that both appears true to the subject and at the same time has the calm, decorative quality that characterizes good Danish figurine porcelain.

This Royal Copenhagen dog figurine fits beautifully into an interior with a focus on Danish design, vintage porcelain and personal collectibles. It can stand alone on a shelf, on a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of animal figurines. For dog lovers and collectors of Royal Copenhagen, it is a figurine with warmth, character and recognizability.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul to the home. They are created to last a long time and can continue to bring joy in modern homes, where quality, history and good craftsmanship are allowed to take up space. This makes the figurine an obvious gift idea for the collector, the dachshund enthusiast or the person who appreciates porcelain with personality.
