Royal Copenhagen Sleeping Panda figurine no. 665

Royal Copenhagen Sleeping Panda figurine no. 665 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and present expression. The panda lies low and gathered with its head resting against its front paw, and the relaxed body shape gives the figurine a quiet mood that makes it easy to place in the home. The dark areas against the light body create a fine contrast, which emphasizes the panda's characteristic markings and gives the figurine depth from all angles.

This panda figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and made in porcelain with underglaze. This is seen in the soft transitions, the smooth surface, and the confident modelling of the face, ears, paws, and the markings of the fur. The motif is simple, but not anonymous. On the contrary, the figurine has a lively and recognizable expression, where the resting panda appears both secure and natural.

A Royal Copenhagen panda figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of animal figurines and Danish porcelain design. It is also an obvious gift for collectors or for someone who is fond of porcelain figurines with animal motifs. Older figurines like this have a special charm because they combine good craftsmanship with lasting decorative value and provide room to decorate with things that have history and personality.

If you are looking for a Royal Copenhagen panda, a sleeping panda figurine, or a porcelain figurine with an animal motif, figurine no. 665 is a fine choice with a calm design language and a classic expression that endures over time.
