Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 746 Rottweiler and Golden Retriever

Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 746 captures a lively moment between two puppies at play. The motif with a dark Rottweiler puppy and a light Golden Retriever puppy is full of movement and presence, where one puppy stands over the other in a safe and natural rough-and-tumble play. This gives the figurine a warm and narrative expression, which immediately evokes recognition among dog lovers and collectors of porcelain figurines.

Allan Therkelsen has designed the figurine with an eye for the dogs' body language and the special energy that arises in play between puppies. The dark and the light dog create a fine contrast, and the glossy underglaze highlights both the shapes, the soft lines of the fur, and the figurine's dynamic structure. It is a dog figurine that appears lively from several angles and therefore looks good both in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection of animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

The figurine belongs to the Minihunde series and is 1 of a series of 12 puppies. This is precisely what makes it interesting for collectors who seek specific breeds, model numbers, or complete series of classic porcelain figurines. At the same time, it also works well on its own as a decorative porcelain dog with personality and history.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special charm because they combine fine craftsmanship, design, and durability. When you choose a vintage dog figurine in porcelain, you get a piece of decorative art with soul, which can still create joy in a modern home. It is also an obvious gift for the dog owner, breeder, or collector who is fond of Royal Copenhagen and classic animal figurines.
