Royal Copenhagen Else picks flowers figurine no. 672

Else picks flowers is a classic Royal Copenhagen figurine with a motif that captures childhood's quiet absorption and the close joy of nature. The figurine shows the little girl Else squatting, absorbed in gathering flowers, and it is precisely this simple scene that gives the figurine a warm and lively expression, which has made the Else and Jens series one of the most beloved among collectors of Danish porcelain figurines.

In the pictures, Else is seen in a blue dress with a white collar and light details along the edge, while she bends forward with a flower in her hand and another by the ground. The low, concentrated posture gives the figurine movement and presence, and the soft shapes emphasize the fine balance between naturalism and decorative figurative work. It is a porcelain figurine that works beautifully both alone and together with other child figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

The figurine is designed by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is behind the well-known series of Else and Jens figurines. The series is appreciated for its everyday motifs with children, where small moments are allowed to take center stage. Here it is not the solemn, but the quiet and recognizable, that makes an impression. This also makes the figurine ideal as a gift for a collector, for someone who appreciates classic Danish design, or as a personal detail in the home with history and soul.

Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurines like this are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations. An older figurine with a timeless motif adds character to the home and is at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate good craftsmanship and the joy of letting quality design live on. Else picks flowers fits nicely on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection with other figurines from the same series.
