Royal Copenhagen Jens with ice cream cone figurine no. 680

Jens with ice cream cone is a charming Royal Copenhagen figurine that captures a quiet moment filled with summer atmosphere and childlike anticipation. The little boy is squatting with his arms around his knees, while he holds his ice cream cone close to himself. The motif has a calm, natural narrative, which makes the figurine lively in its expression and easy to love.

The figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze and bears Allan Therkelsen's sure sense for child figurines with presence and personality. Jens is dressed in a dark blue and white sailor suit with a white hat, light stockings and dark shoes, and it is precisely this classic clothing that gives the figurine a fine touch of Danish porcelain history. The face is modelled with a gentle and thoughtful expression, which together with the little ice cream cone makes the motif both recognisable and atmospheric.

As a porcelain figurine and collector's figurine, Jens with ice cream cone is a good choice for you who are fond of Royal Copenhagen figurines with children as the motif. It fits beautifully in a collection of child figurines, but also stands beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal arrangement with other classic porcelain. The soft shapes and the calm colours make it easy to combine with both traditional and simpler interior design.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul and history to the home. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a beautiful way to give good craftsmanship new life. A figurine like Jens with ice cream cone is therefore not only a decorative feature, but also a small piece of design history that can still bring joy today.
