Royal Copenhagen Jens with his cat Felix figurine no. 684

Jens with his cat Felix is a charming Royal Copenhagen figurine that captures a quiet and intimate moment between child and animal. The figurine shows Jens sitting on a low stone or rock block, slightly leaning forward toward the cat, which looks up at him. The close contact between the two gives the figurine a warm and lively expression, making it ideal for collectors of child figurines and classic porcelain figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

The motif is full of storytelling. Jens is dressed in a dark blue top, light shorts, white knee socks and dark shoes, while the cat Felix sits upright by his side in brownish and white shades. The face is finely modelled with light freckles and soft hair in warm tones, and the entire composition has the calm, everyday atmosphere that makes Allan Therkelsen's figurines so recognizable and beloved.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and made in porcelain with underglaze, which provides the glossy surfaces and the clear, durable colours. It is precisely the combination of narrative motif, precise modelling and the classic underglaze technique that makes figurine no. 684 an attractive choice for both collectors and those who want a porcelain figurine with personality and soul.

Jens with his cat Felix fits beautifully into a collection of Else and Jens figurines, but can also stand alone on the shelf, in the display cabinet or on the desk, where it adds a touch of nostalgia, Danish design history and whimsical warmth to the home. For cat lovers, collectors of child figurines and admirers of Royal Copenhagen, this is a figurine that attracts attention without seeming obtrusive.
