Royal Copenhagen Else in a swimsuit figurine no. 678

Else in a swimsuit from Royal Copenhagen is a classic porcelain figurine that captures a quiet and recognizable moment from the world of childhood. The standing girl is modeled with a calm, slightly dreamy expression and wears a dark blue swimsuit, while she holds a white towel in front of her. In her arm she has a small yellow rubber duck, which adds warmth, narrative, and a fine connection to beach life, bathing, and summer memories to the figurine.

The figurine is made with the soft, naturalistic design that many collectors associate with the beloved child figurines from Royal Copenhagen. Here it is precisely the contrast between the deep blue glaze, the white porcelain, and the delicate skin tones that gives the motif life. Else appears both upright and childlike at the same time, and this makes the figurine suitable as a decorative figurine in the living room, in the children's room, in the display cabinet, or as part of a collection of Danish porcelain figurines.

The artist behind it is Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for her child figurines with presence and character. This porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, which supports the calm, durable color expression. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of classic Danish porcelain, Else in a swimsuit figurine no. 678 is an atmospheric example of figurative art, where the small moments of everyday life are elevated into something lasting.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add personality and history to the home. They are created to be preserved, collected, and enjoyed for many years, and that is precisely why they are also a beautiful choice for those who appreciate quality design with soul. The figurine can stand alone or be combined with other Else and Jens figurines for a lively and harmonious expression.
