Royal Copenhagen Else figurine no. 404, old B&G no. 2574

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 404 depicts Else in a long white dress with small blue flowers and a blue border along the edge. The light colour scheme and the fine decorations give the figurine a calm and poetic expression, and in the picture a blue hairband can also be seen, which ties the motif beautifully together. It is a porcelain figurine with a classic child motif, where both the posture and the painting have the quiet charm that many collectors are fond of.

The figurine is modelled by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for her child figurines with presence and character. Here the expression is simple and warm, and it is precisely the combination of the white dress, the small blue flowers and the decorative border that makes the model easy to recognise. It is made of porcelain with underglaze, which emphasises the clear, soft decoration and the traditional quality associated with Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen.

Else figurine no. 404 also has the older B&G number 2574, which is important information for collectors who are looking for this particular model under either Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 404 or old B&G no. 2574. This makes the figurine interesting both as a collector's item and as a personal part of the décor, where it can stand alone in a display cabinet collection or be combined with other porcelain figurines with children, family or classic Danish motifs.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add history and personality to the home. They are made to last a long time and can continue to bring joy for many years to come. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful way to carry existing craftsmanship forward and give classic Danish design new life in a contemporary home.
