Royal Copenhagen Mini Children no. 005 Oscar boy in nightwear 9 cm

Oscar is a charming porcelain figurine from Royal Copenhagen, capturing a recognizable moment from childhood. The little boy stands barefoot in his blue-striped nightwear with his hand by his mouth and the teddy bear hanging in the other hand. The motif has a calm and slightly dreamy expression, bringing to mind bedtime, security, and the small everyday moments that continue to move us.

The figurine belongs to the popular Mini Children series and is no. 005 in the collection. Here, it is precisely the simple story and the fine observation of the child's body language that make the figurine so vivid. The blue stripes in the nightwear, the light hair color, and the brown teddy bear with a blue bow create a warm whole, making the figurine decorative both on its own and together with other figurines from the same series.

Mini Children from Royal Copenhagen is a series that many collectors are particularly fond of, and Oscar is an obvious choice if you wish to supplement an existing collection or find a missing figurine in the series. At the same time, he also works well as a standalone porcelain figurine in the children's room, on a shelf in the living room, or as a personal gift for someone who appreciates classic Danish figurative art. Sven Vestergaard has created a motif with presence and calm, and the underglaze decoration emphasizes the classic quality that characterizes Royal Copenhagen.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add soul and personality to the home. They are created to last, to be collected, and to gain new life in modern interiors. Oscar is therefore both a small piece of Danish design history and a figurine that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
