Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 023 Girl with ball - Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 023 "Girl with ball" captures a calm and everyday moment from childhood. The figurine shows a little girl sitting on the floor with her hands around a round ball, completely absorbed in her play. The simple motif makes the porcelain figurine lively and present, and it is precisely that quiet concentration that gives it a warm expression, which many collectors and interior enthusiasts are fond of.

Allan Therkelsen has created a child figurine with soft lines and a natural posture, where the child's movement and body posture are finely rendered. In the picture, the girl is seen in pink clothing with light hair and a red-and-white striped ball, which gives the figurine a gentle, but also distinctive play of colors. The glazed surface and the underglaze decoration support the classic expression associated with Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurines.

This porcelain figurine fits beautifully into a collection of child figurines from B&G and Royal Copenhagen, but it also works well on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a personal gift for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain and figurines with human presence. The motif of child and play makes it ideal in homes where one wants craftsmanship with a gentle story and timeless charm.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to create personality in the decor. They are made to last a long time and can continue to bring joy in a modern home, where quality, history, and good craftsmanship are allowed to live on. This makes "Girl with ball" a fine choice for both collectors and those who would like to decorate with decorative art and design with soul.
