Royal Copenhagen Annual Viking 2004 Bjarke figurine

Royal Copenhagen Annual Viking 2004 "Bjarke" is a charming porcelain figurine with lots of storytelling gathered in a small motif. Here stands the young Viking boy with a horn in his hand, a helmet with horns on his head and a sword by his side, while a small barrel completes the scene. The figurine has a lively and playful expression, where Viking inspiration meets the soft and human sense of form that makes Royal Copenhagen's figurines so beloved among collectors.

Bjarke is part of the Annual Vikings series, which has its very own place with many collectors of Danish porcelain figurines. This particular figurine stands out with its storytelling arrangement and the fine details in the costume, the blue cape, the helmet and the small horn, which create an atmosphere of Nordic history and adventure. The colors are calm and classic with blue, gray, cream and warm golden shades, which make the figurine easy to place in both modern and more traditional interiors.

The design is by Sven Vestergaard, and the figurine is made in underglaze, which supports the refined and durable expression. As a collector's figurine, Annual Viking 2004 is an obvious choice for you who already follow the Annual Vikings series from Royal Copenhagen, but it also works very well on its own as a decorative figurine with personality. It can stand in the display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a larger collection of Nordic figurines and collectibles.

Older porcelain figurines like this contain both history and craftsmanship, and they are a beautiful example of design created to last. Choosing a figurine with history is also a way to give classic Danish porcelain new life in the home. Bjarke is also a lovely gift idea for collectors, for the history enthusiast or for anyone who is fond of Royal Copenhagen figurine art.
