Royal Copenhagen two musk ox calves figurine no. 326, H 11 cm

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 326 shows two musk ox calves close together in a calm and concentrated composition. Allan Therkelsen has created an animal figurine where the interaction between the two small animals is at the center, and where the motif exudes closeness, protection and herd instinct. This makes the figurine an atmospheric choice for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of animal figurines with character and narrative.

The two calves stand side by side with their heads slightly turned toward each other, and the close placement gives the figurine a fine sense of movement and togetherness. In the pictures, the dark, glossy glaze can be seen working beautifully together with the light areas on the legs and muzzle, while the fur is modeled with pronounced, undulating structures that give life to the surface. The expression is robust and warm at the same time, and the figurine functions both as a decorative feature in the interior and as an interesting collector's item.

The figurine belongs to the Mother and Child animal figurines series from Royal Copenhagen. The series is designed by Allan Therkelsen, and the technique used is underglaze. The series was launched in 2003. The combination of the naturalistic motif and Royal Copenhagen's assured porcelain craftsmanship makes this figurine ideal on a shelf, in a display cabinet collection or as a gift for someone who collects porcelain figurines, Nordic design or animal motifs.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also contains the special quality that many appreciate in classic decorative arts and collectors' items: the feeling of something well made, created to last and to continue bringing joy to the home. A figurine like this adds personality and history and is at the same time a sustainable choice for those who value fine craftsmanship with a long lifespan.
