Royal Copenhagen Clara and Peter by the fireplace figurine no. 411

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 411, Clara and Peter by the fireplace, captures the very special Christmas atmosphere, where the children gather in front of the fireplace with gifts, anticipation and warm cheeks. The figurine shows the two children close to the lit fireplace, surrounded by small Christmas presents, a teddy bear and Clara's doll, while the fireplace is decorated with garland, red bows and Christmas stockings. On the back is the text "MERRY CHRISTMAS" as a fixed part of the model and it emphasizes the figurine's clear Christmas theme.

The motif is told with many fine details, which make the figurine lively to look at again and again. Peter is bent forward over the gifts, while Clara sits calmly with the doll in her arms, and together they create a scene full of Christmas cosiness and childhood memories. The flames in the fireplace and the small coloured packages in front of the children give the figurine a warm and homely expression, which fits beautifully into the Christmas decorations year after year.

This Christmas figurine is made of porcelain and decorated in underglaze. It is designed by Sven Westergaard for Royal Copenhagen, which makes it interesting both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of classic Danish Christmas decorations in porcelain. The motif makes it ideal as part of a Christmas display on a shelf, in a bookcase or as an atmospheric feature together with other Christmas figurines, elves or porcelain decorations.

Older figurines like this have a special charm, because they bring history and tradition into the home. Choosing porcelain figurines with soul and durability is also a beautiful way to give existing quality design new life. A figurine like Clara and Peter by the fireplace can create joy every Christmas and become part of the family's own traditions.
