Royal Copenhagen Girl with lamb figurine no. 435 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 435 depicts a girl with a lamb in a calm and intimate moment from life in the countryside. The figurine shows the girl sitting on her knees in her light blue dress, while she holds the lamb close to her and feeds it with a bottle. The motif exudes care, farm life and the quiet connection between child and animal, which makes this particular porcelain figurine both warm and expressive in its appearance.

With confident lines, Allan Therkelsen has created a farming figurine where posture and details work beautifully together. The girl's downcast gaze, the protective arm around the lamb and the simple movement around the baby bottle give the figurine life and presence. The blue shades in the dress and the light tones in the hair and lamb create a classic colour scheme that fits naturally into Royal Copenhagen's design language.

This figurine belongs to the Children with farm animals series and speaks directly to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, porcelain figurines with children as well as motifs from farm life and country life. It is also ideal for those who are fond of figurines with animals, children's motifs or Danish design with a story. The figurine works beautifully on its own in a display cabinet, on a shelf or together with other figurines from the same series, where it can help create a small scene with the farm's children and animals.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they carry both craftsmanship and history forward into today's home. It is exactly the type of decorative art and collector's item that gives personality and soul to the interior, while at the same time choosing a quality product created to last and be appreciated for many years.

For collectors of Royal Copenhagen and for everyone seeking a porcelain figurine with girl and lamb, no. 435 is a motif with warmth, recognisability and classic Danish figurative art.
