Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 452 girl puts bow on dog

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 452 depicts a warm and intimate moment between a child and a pet. The motif shows a girl kneeling beside a small dog and putting a bow on it, while the dog sits on a stool with a blue draped form. The figurine combines the calm of childhood with the close relationship between child and dog, and precisely for that reason this child figurine has an atmosphere that appeals to both collectors and dog lovers.

The expression is finely balanced with calm movements and soft forms. The girl is rendered in light shades with a ponytail, white top and light skirt with small decorative dots, while the dog has white and grey-brown patches. The blue stool adds a beautiful colour contrast to the figurine and gives the motif a classic, decorative expression that fits well into both modern and more traditional homes.

As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, it naturally belongs among collectible porcelain figurines, where motif, modelling and glaze work closely together. The current text links the figurine to figurine series 2006 and the Children with Pets series, which fits well with the motif's intimate everyday scene. It is a porcelain figurine that functions both as a collector's item and as a personal decoration on a shelf, display cabinet or chest of drawers.

Older figurines with character and narrative have a special place in interior design, because they bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the home. This Royal Copenhagen child figurine is also an obvious choice as a gift for a dog lover, for the collector of Danish porcelain figurines or for the person who loves motifs with children and animals. When you choose porcelain with history, you simultaneously choose a more sustainable path, where beautiful craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new surroundings.
