Royal Copenhagen fallow deer calf figurine no. 466

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 466 depicts a fallow deer calf in a resting posture, made in porcelain with underglaze. The figurine has a calm and natural expression, where the young calf lies gathered on a green base, which brings to mind forest floor and clearings. The warm brownish shades, the light neck and the white spots across the back give the motif life and make the figurine easily recognizable as a young fallow deer calf.

It is a porcelain figurine with a fine balance between lifelike details and the soft, stylized design language that many collectors and interior enthusiasts appreciate in Royal Copenhagen. The ears are raised, the gaze is alert, and the relaxed lying position gives the figurine an atmosphere of peace, presence, and Nordic nature. Precisely for that reason, a deer figurine like this fits beautifully into both classic homes, modern interiors, and collections of Danish porcelain.

Designer Nanna Brøndum is behind the model, and the figurine's simple, harmonious expression makes it suitable both as a collector's item and as a decorative gift idea. A Royal Copenhagen animal figurine like this is also an obvious choice for you who appreciate porcelain with character and want to bring a little nature into the home. It can be placed alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or combined with other animal figurines in porcelain to create a personal and lively arrangement.

Older porcelain figurines often have a special warmth about them, and this very type of design shows how good craftsmanship and thoughtful form can preserve their charm for many years. This makes the figurine a fine choice for you who would like to decorate with things that have both history, quality, and lasting appeal.
