Royal Copenhagen fallow deer fawn figurine 2609 Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen figurine 2609 depicts a lying fallow deer fawn in a calm and present posture. The figurine is designed with the head turned slightly back, which gives the motif life and a fine sense of movement in the midst of rest. The light spots on the back and the soft transition between warm brownish tones and white glaze emphasize the young animal's light and natural expression.

Knud Kyhn was known for his animal figurines, and here his sure sense of capturing the animal's form and nature in a simple, harmonious expression is seen. It is a porcelain figurine that contains both classic Danish design and the quiet narrative that makes Royal Copenhagen figurines sought after by collectors and for interior decoration with personality. The underglaze gives the surface depth and a beautiful, glossy finish that highlights the figurine's organic shapes.

This fallow deer figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of animal figurines in porcelain. It can also be combined with other figurines from Royal Copenhagen to create a lively and personal expression in the home. For many, older porcelain figurines are something special precisely because they carry craftsmanship, history, and lasting quality forward into today's home. This also makes them a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates Danish design, crafts, and collectibles with soul.

The motif makes the figurine decorative from several angles. From the front, one is met by the attentive gaze and the large ears, while the side and rear show the rounded body and the characteristic white spots that give the figurine its gentle and lifelike character. It is a Royal Copenhagen figurine that appeals both to the collector and to the person who is simply looking for a beautiful porcelain figurine with an animal motif.
