Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2015 dog beagle Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2015 depicts a calmly resting dog with a gentle and attentive expression. The figurine is shaped as a beagle, lying relaxed with its head down, while still seeming present and awake. The soft shapes and the lifelike painting bring the figurine to life and make it a warm addition to the collection of Royal Copenhagen figurines.

This annual figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and executed in underglaze. The motif is taken directly from the Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate of the same year, where the dog is part of the homely Christmas scene in front of the fireplace. Precisely for that reason, the figurine pairs particularly well with the 2015 Christmas plate, but it also stands strong on its own as a small dog figurine with calm, personality, and storytelling.

The colors are kept in natural shades with white fur and dark as well as light brown areas, which emphasize the beagle's characteristic appearance. The low, lying posture gives the figurine a relaxed look, which fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. As a porcelain figurine, it is ideal for a display cabinet, shelf, or desk, where it can add a discreet reference to Christmas, family coziness, and the love of dogs.

For collectors of Royal Copenhagen annual figurines, the 2015 dog is a natural addition to the series. It can be the figurine that completes the collection, or a fine choice for those who are especially fond of animal figurines and dog figurines in porcelain. At the same time, it is a gift idea with extra appeal to dog owners and to everyone who appreciates Danish design and figurines with a motif-related connection to the Christmas plate.
