Royal Copenhagen Grand Danois figurine no. 511 in white bisque

This Royal Copenhagen figurine of a Grand Danois combines calm, strength and a pure design language in a sculptural dog figurine that immediately attracts attention. The dog is modelled in a lying posture with raised head and long, outstretched forelegs, giving the figurine a calm, attentive and almost aristocratic expression. The white bisque surface emphasises the soft lines and makes the motif simple, modern and easy to place in the interior.

Grand Danois is a dog breed that is often associated with dignity, loyalty and an impressive presence, and that is precisely what is beautifully captured here. The figurine appears without colour decoration, allowing form and silhouette to stand completely clear. This makes it suitable both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for dog lovers who want a porcelain figurine with a calmer and more contemporary expression.

In 2008 Royal Copenhagen launched several of the well-known figurines in entirely white, and this Grand Danois figurine no. 511 is part of that story. The white bisque gives the figurine a more graphic and sculptural character than the classically painted models and therefore fits beautifully into both classic and modern home décor. Place it on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a chest of drawers, where the light can highlight the fine details of the modelling.

It is also an obvious gift idea for someone who is fond of large dog breeds, Danish porcelain or Royal Copenhagen collector figurines. Older and newer porcelain figurines with character add personality to the home and are at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate quality design that can be preserved and enjoyed for many years.
