Royal Copenhagen nativity play Baby Jesus in manger figurine no. 021

Baby Jesus in a manger from Royal Copenhagen is an atmospheric figurine from a classic nativity play, where the Christmas story is brought together in a calm and gentle design language. Here the child lies in a small manger with a straw-like surface, while the light glaze and the soft shapes give the figurine a peaceful and warm expression that fits beautifully into Christmas decorations and traditions.

The motif is simple, but very effective. Baby Jesus is modelled lying down with raised arms and a lightly draped cloth in a light blue tone over the body. The manger stands on four short legs and is made in subdued shades of beige, grey and brown, which give the figurine depth and a natural character. It is precisely the interplay between the calm colours and the fine modelling that makes this porcelain figurine a lovely centrepiece in a Christmas display.

As a figurine for a nativity play, it is ideal to place together with Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men, donkey and ox, if you wish to build a complete Christmas nativity scene. It can also stand alone as a smaller Christmas figurine with a religious motif, where it adds a quiet and tradition-rich Christmas atmosphere to the home. For many collectors, Royal Copenhagen is a sought-after name within porcelain figurines, and figurine no. 021 will therefore also be of interest to those seeking classic Christmas figurines and collector's items from well-known Danish porcelain houses.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to create a sense of presence in the interior. They carry a story with them and make it possible to let beautiful craftsmanship live on from year to year. This makes the figurine an obvious choice for you if you appreciate Christmas traditions, Danish porcelain and the ability of objects to gather memories across generations.
