Bing & Grøndahl Optimist tit figure no. 1633 Dahl Jensen 13 cm

Bing & Grøndahl figurine "Optimist" no. 1633 is a charming tit figurine with an unusually vivid expression. The small bird is modeled with a round, compact body, a slightly forward-bent head and a long, raised tail, which gives the figurine an alert and expectant posture. The name "Optimist" therefore fits the motif particularly well, where the entire form radiates energy, curiosity and personality.

The tit is created by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his lifelike and atmospheric animal figurines. Here, the bird's character is interpreted in a softer and more decorative form, where the flowing color fields and the harmonious silhouette create calm and presence. The figurine displays beautiful glaze tones in blue, brown, cream and darker shades, while the light tail and the marked wings give the motif depth and movement. The small beak and the finely emphasized eyes bring the expression together and make the bird remarkably lifelike.

The figurine is made of stoneware and contains the warm and tactile character that makes older ceramic animal figurines so sought-after. It is precisely the type of Danish design and craftsmanship that still adds soul to the home many years after it was created. A vintage Bing & Grøndahl bird figurine like this is not only decorative, but also a sustainable choice for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and the joy of letting quality objects live on in new surroundings.

"Optimist" fits nicely on a shelf, in a display cabinet collection or as part of a still life with other bird figurines, porcelain figurines or Nordic ceramics. It is also an obvious gift for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, for the bird lover or for the one who is fond of Danish decorative art with history and character.
