Bing & Grøndahl seated Pointer dog figurine no. 1716

This seated Pointer dog figurine from Bing & Grøndahl has a calm and lifelike expression that makes it easy to notice. The figurine shows a pointer in a relaxed seated position with a slightly bent head, alert gaze, and soft lines in the body. The white glaze is combined with light brown markings, which emphasize the dog's character and give the figurine a lively, harmonious expression.

It is a porcelain figurine with underglaze, and precisely the glossy surface and the fine color transitions suit the motif well. The shape appears simple at first glance, but the closer you look at the figurine, the more the small details emerge in paws, ears, snout, and posture. This makes the model interesting both for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and for dog lovers who are fond of classic animal figurines in porcelain.

A dog figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, on a chest of drawers, or in a display cabinet, where it can stand alone or be combined with other porcelain figurines and Danish design. The motif has a natural warmth that makes it suitable as a gift for a dog owner, hunter, or collector of porcelain with animal motifs. At the same time, it is precisely the type of quality figurine that can continue to create joy in the home year after year and carry forward the history in older porcelain in a simple and practical way.

For those of you looking for a Bing & Grøndahl Pointer, a porcelain dog, or a classic dog figurine in Danish porcelain, model no. 1716 is a fine choice with a recognizable motif and an expression that endures over time.
