Rabbit Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1874 Niels Nielsen 6 cm

This Bing & Grøndahl rabbit figurine no. 1874 is a small porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The rabbit is modeled low to the surface with the body gathered in a resting position, and the dark underglaze gives the figurine depth and a fine, soft surface. It is precisely the simple form and the subdued appearance that make this rabbit figurine a charming choice for both collectors and those who appreciate classic Danish porcelain.

The figurine is designed by Niels Nielsen for Bing & Grøndahl and contains the particular sense for animals and movement that makes many older animal figurines so lively. The expression is quiet and present, and the compact size makes it easy to place on a shelf, on a desk, in a display cabinet, or as part of a combined arrangement with other animal figurines in porcelain. If you are looking for a Bing & Grøndahl rabbit, a small porcelain animal figurine, or a classic Danish figurine for the collection, this is an obvious choice.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a very special ability to add personality to the home. They bring history with them and are at the same time easy to use in a contemporary interior, where small objects with character are allowed to create warmth and atmosphere. The figurine is also well suited as a gift for a collector, for the nature lover, or for someone who appreciates Danish design and fine craftsmanship created to last for many years.
