Bing & Grøndahl Scottish Terrier figure no. 2077 lying dog

Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 2077 depicts a lying Scottish Terrier in a calm and attentive posture. The figure has a characterful expression with erect ears, elongated body and a tail that lifts slightly backwards. The dark glaze and the modelled details highlight the dog's coat, head shape and the breed-typical silhouette, which makes the motif easily recognisable to both dog lovers and collectors of classic animal figures.

It is a porcelain figure with underglaze, which gives the surface a cohesive and harmonious expression. The lying position gives the figure a fine balance between calm and presence, and precisely this type of dog figure fits beautifully into both classic and more personal interiors. It can stand alone on a shelf, on a desk or in a display cabinet, where its shape and sheen come into their own.

For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, dog figures are a sought-after area, and this Scottish Terrier has a motif that appeals broadly. It is also ideal as a gift for a dog owner or for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain with history. Older porcelain figures like this are created to last and can continue to bring joy for many years to come. At the same time, it is a beautiful way to choose something with soul and durability rather than new production.

The existing title and description point to a classic Bing & Grøndahl dog figure, and the figure number 2077 makes it easy to identify for collectors seeking specific models. A figure like this adds personality to the home and tells a little story about love of animals, craftsmanship and timeless design.
