Bing & Grøndahl Japanese Chin dog figurine no. 2123 porcelain

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2123 depicts a Japanese Chin in a low, stretched-out posture with raised head and an attentive, almost expectant expression. In the photo, the characteristic coat is seen with long ears, full tail and markings in dark and light tones, which suit the breed's soft and slightly aristocratic appearance. It is a porcelain figurine with underglaze decoration, which fits well with Bing & Grøndahl's well-known work with animal figurines and the calm, nuanced surfaces for which the factory is appreciated.

The figurine has a natural, lively expression, where the breed's short muzzle, large round eyes and long coat are finely highlighted. The Japanese Chin in particular is a motif that appeals to many collectors of Bing & Grøndahl porcelain, because the dog breed has so much personality, and because the form gives the figurine both charm and character in the interior. It fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other dog figurines and Danish porcelain figurines. Model number 2123 is an important detail for collectors, as the figurine number makes it easier to identify the model precisely.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special appeal because they unite fine craftsmanship, history and a motif you want to keep on display. A figurine like this adds personality to the home and is at the same time a fine choice for you who appreciate classic Danish design and would like to give beautiful craftsmanship new life in a modern interior. It is also an obvious gift for the dog lover, the Bing & Grøndahl collector or the one who is fond of porcelain figurines with soul and collector's value.
