Bing & Grøndahl Surprise figurine no. 2301 playing children

Bing & Grøndahl figurine "Surprise" no. 2301 captures a moment of childish play and anticipation. The motif shows two children in close interaction, where the one kneeling figure holds their hands over the other's eyes as a classic surprise. This gives the porcelain figurine a warm and lively expression, which immediately brings to mind sibling play, closeness and small everyday moments with great charm.

The figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze and appears in the soft, muted colours that many collectors and connoisseurs associate with Bing & Grøndahl's figurine world. In the pictures, the child in front is seen in a light blue sweater, blue shorts and light stockings, while the child behind kneels in a white skirt and brownish top. The calm colour scheme emphasises the figurine's fine story and makes it easy to place in the home, whether it stands in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of child figurines.

"Surprise" is a classic child figurine with a motif that still speaks to the present day. It contains both innocence, movement and relationship, and precisely for that reason it suits you who are fond of porcelain figurines with human warmth. As older porcelain with history, it is also a beautiful choice for you who appreciate good craftsmanship and the joy of giving existing quality objects new life in the interior. This type of decorative art adds personality to the home and is at the same time a sustainable alternative to new production.

Bing & Grøndahl figurines are sought after among collectors, and this model has a motif that stands out with its narrative composition. It can be a meaningful gift for a collector of Danish porcelain or for someone who is fond of figurines with children, family and play as a theme.
