Bing & Grøndahl Trio mother with two children figure no. 2262 or 468

Trio, mother with two children is a Bing & Grøndahl porcelain figurine with a warm and intimate motif that captures the quiet togetherness between mother and children. The figurine shows a seated mother in a blue dress with a small child on her lap, while the other child stands close by her side. The entire composition is centered around gazes, hands and posture, giving the figurine a calm and human story that makes it ideal as a collector's figurine and as a decorative porcelain figurine in the home.

It is precisely the interaction between the three persons that gives the figurine its strength. The blue dress, the light child figures and the simple chair create a beautiful contrast, while the soft shapes emphasize the intimate mood of the motif. As a mother-child figurine, it has a classic expression that fits well in both modern and more traditional interiors. It can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf or together with other Bing & Grøndahl figurines with family and everyday motifs.

The figurine is designed by Michaela Ahlmann and is referred to as Trio. According to the existing documentation, it belongs to the series Scandinavian women, and it is made of porcelain with underglaze. This gives it the glossy surface and the deep, clear colors that many collectors associate with classic Danish porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. For you who appreciate figurines with relationships, family history and classic Danish design, this is a model with both character and collector's value.

Older porcelain figurines like this carry a special calm and durability with them. Choosing a figurine with history is also a way to give fine craftsmanship new life. It is also an obvious gift idea for parents, a mother, for a christening or for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen figurines.
