Bing & Grøndahl Rebekka figurine no. 2455 Odd Fellow

Rebekka figurine no. 2455 from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a calm and thoughtful expression. The figurine shows a standing woman in long, draped clothing and head covering, while she holds a jug by her side. The soft folds in the garment and the subdued color scheme in white and warm beige shades give the figurine a classic and harmonious character, which makes it beautiful both as a collector's figurine and as a decorative porcelain figurine in the home.

The motif is linked to Rebekka, also known as Rebecca, and the figurine has a narrative character, which makes it suitable for those who are fond of porcelain figurines with symbolism and history. The upright posture, the slightly bowed head position and the distinctive jug create a motif with presence and dignity. This very type of Bing & Grøndahl figurine often appeals to collectors of Danish porcelain figurines, Odd Fellow figurines and classic female figurines in porcelain.

According to the available information, the figurine is made in Blanc de Chine, a technique that supports the pure, smooth expression and highlights the fine transitions of the modeling. The figurine is associated with Svend Jespersen, and this is seen in the calm treatment of form and the confident balance between simplicity and character. It fits beautifully in a collection with other B&G figurines, but can also stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a small side table, where its sculptural quality is allowed to stand out.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm, because they bring both craftsmanship, history and personality into the interior. Choosing a vintage Bing & Grøndahl figurine is at the same time a beautiful way to give classic Danish porcelain new life in a modern home.
