Søholm Charles de Gaulle money box no. 4, 1982

Søholm money box no. 4 with Charles de Gaulle is a characterful ceramic figure that combines portrait art and function in one and the same collector's item. The figure is shaped as a bust with distinctive facial features, high forehead, deep lines and a serious, calm expression, which gives the motif presence and weight. The coin slot is placed discreetly at the top of the head, so the form retains its sculptural character.

On the base is the text "Charles de Gaulle" and the years "1890 - 1970". This gives the figure a clear historical identity and makes it particularly interesting for collectors of statesman figures, political memorabilia and older Danish ceramic money boxes. The light, matte surface emphasizes the bust's calm and monumental expression and fits well into both classic and more modern surroundings.

This vintage Søholm figure has both decorative value and collector's value. It works naturally as a money box, but also as a small portrait bust on the shelf, desk or in the display cabinet, where it adds personality and history. Older decorative art and ceramics with such a clear motif are at the same time a sustainable choice, because you give a quality product with age and soul new life in the home.

For collectors of Søholm, political figures and the series with great statesmen, this is an exciting find. It is also suitable as a gift idea for the history enthusiast, for the collector of ceramic figures or for the one who appreciates distinctive Danish design with a story.
