Dahl Jensen hare figurine no. 1140 porcelain 8 cm

Dahl Jensen hare figurine no. 1140 is a charming porcelain figurine with a calm and lively expression. The hare stands upright on its hind legs with raised front paws and long, hanging ears, which give the figure both movement and personality. The soft transitions in the glaze between grey, brownish shades, dark details and light areas highlight the animal's form in a way that makes the figurine decorative from every angle.

The motif is classic for Danish animal porcelain, where nature's animals are rendered with a sense for both anatomy and mood. Here the expression is alert and finely observed, and it is precisely the upright posture that makes the model special in the interior. The figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other animal figurines in porcelain. It can also be an obvious gift for collectors or for someone who is fond of hares, rabbits and Danish design with history.

This Dahl Jensen figurine is made in porcelain with underglaze, which supports the glossy, deep play of colours and the fine transitions in the surface. Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for his lifelike animal figurines, and model no. 1140 is a good example of that tradition, where craftsmanship, design and motif merge into a higher unity. Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add warmth, character and personality to the home, while at the same time giving beautiful craftsmanship new life in a contemporary interior.

If you are looking for a Dahl Jensen hare, a porcelain hare or a classic Danish animal figurine, this model is a fine choice with an expression that is both decorative and collectible.
