Dahl Jensen antelope lying no. 1237 porcelain figurine 20 cm

This lying antelope from Dahl Jensen is a porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression, making it a beautiful choice for collectors of Danish animal figurines and classic porcelain. The figurine is modelled in a relaxed resting position with raised head, slender legs and fine, well-defined horns, which give the motif both lightness and character. The soft brownish shades, the light neck and the darker areas on the legs and back emphasize the figurine's vivid appearance.

Dahl Jensen is known for his animal figurines with a sense of anatomy, movement and personality, and this antelope no. 1237 is a good example of exactly that. Here, the decorative and the naturalistic meet in a figurine that appears both harmonious and detailed. The underglaze gives the surface depth and gloss, while the play of colours appears soft and coherent. The motif fits beautifully into an interior with classic Danish design, but can also create warmth and contrast in a more modern home.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also has the special quality that older craftsmanship often contains. It is the type of object you feel like keeping, using in the décor and passing on. A figurine like this adds personality and history to the home and is at the same time a sustainable alternative to new production. It stands beautifully alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or together with other animal figurines in porcelain, where its calm posture and fine modelling truly come into their own.

For collectors of Dahl Jensen figurines, model 1237 is a classic antelope figurine, but it is also perfectly suitable as a gift for someone who is fond of porcelain, animal motifs and Danish design tradition.
