Kosta Boda 1977 Sweden Familie Uncle Bill glass figurine

Kosta Boda Sweden Familie Uncle Bill from 1977 is a characterful glass figurine with lots of personality. The figurine is made of clear glass and depicts a man with a hat, a pronounced moustache, and a simple, graphic facial drawing, which gives the expression a slightly humorous and lively touch. The golden bands around the body add contrast and emphasize the figurine's upright, stylized form.

In the Sweden Familie series, Kosta has created figures that together form a small family in glass, and this is exactly what makes Uncle Bill an obvious choice both as a standalone glass figurine and as part of a collection. The expression is simple, but the figurine simultaneously contains that special combination of playful storytelling and Scandinavian glass design that many collectors appreciate.

This vintage glass figurine fits beautifully into an interior where you want to add something personal and a little unexpected. It works well in a bookcase, in a display cabinet, or as a decorative detail on a shelf together with other art glass, Swedish glass, or figurines with history. Older design objects like this are also a good way to bring quality and character into the home, while choosing reuse over new production.

For collectors of Kosta Boda, Swedish glass figurines, and decorative human figurines, Uncle Bill from 1977 is an interesting find. The clear figurative storytelling and the recognizable place in the Sweden Familie series make it ideal as a gift for a collector or for you, if you appreciate glass design with soul and history.
