Royal Copenhagen Klods-Hans on goat figurine no. 1228

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 1228 depicts Klods-Hans on goat and brings one of the well-known Danish fairy tales into porcelain with both humor, movement and character. The figurine shows the young boy sitting high and relaxed on the goat's back, with his head raised and an expression that gives the motif life and narrative. It is a porcelain figurine that speaks directly to collectors of fairy tale figurines, Danish figurines and classic Royal Copenhagen design.

Christian Thomsen has designed the figurine with a sure sense of posture and personality. The goat's upright stance, the curved horns and the open mouth create energy in the motif, while the boy's dark jacket, blue trousers and light face provide a fine contrast to the goat's light glaze. In his hand he holds a dark bag, and the entire composition rests on a green-toned base that supports the rural atmosphere and the folk character of the fairy tale.

As an underglaze porcelain figurine, the model contains the classic quality many associate with Royal Copenhagen. The smooth surface and the calm color transitions suit the motif and make the figurine suitable both as part of a fairy tale collection and as a decorative feature in the home. It fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or together with other human figurines and narrative porcelain figurines from the same universe.

Older figurines like this have a special appeal because they unite craftsmanship, history and Danish design tradition. It is precisely the type of object that can gain new life in a modern home while at the same time preserving the connection to classic stories and fine porcelain created to last for many years. An obvious gift idea for collectors, for the fairy tale enthusiast or for you who appreciate figurines with soul and Danish cultural history.
