Royal Copenhagen stoneware dog figurine terrier no. 22773

Royal Copenhagen stoneware dog figurine terrier no. 22773 is a charming dog figurine with lots of personality. The figurine depicts a standing terrier in a compact and robust form, where the alert expression, the raised tail and the short, sturdy legs bring the motif to life. The brown glaze with dark and warm golden nuances emphasizes the figurine's soft modeling and highlights both the head, paws and the fur's pronounced folds.

The terrier is executed with a fine balance between naturalism and stylization, which makes it easy to place in the interior. It has a calm, almost faithful expression, and it is precisely this kind of animal figurines in stoneware that has a special ability to create warmth and personality in the home. On a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other dog figurines and Royal Copenhagen figurines, it finds a natural place.

For many collectors, Royal Copenhagen is closely associated with Danish design and classic figurines, and this stoneware dog figurine is a good example of how a simple motif can gain great character. The brown color makes the figurine easy to combine with both wood, ceramics, porcelain and more modern interiors. At the same time, the terrier motif is ideal for the dog lover who likes to decorate with small objects that say something about interests and personal style.

Older figurines like this one also contain a special value in themselves. Choosing vintage decorative art and design with history is a way to bring quality and fine craftsmanship on to new surroundings. It gives the home soul and makes the decor more personal than mass-produced alternatives. As a gift idea for a collector, a dog friend or someone who is fond of Royal Copenhagen, this terrier figurine is both decorative and memorable.
