Royal Copenhagen baby with cornucopia Autumn figurine no. 2858

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 2858 depicts a small baby in a quiet, thoughtful moment with a grape at its mouth and a cornucopia filled with grapes beside it. The motif is beautifully linked to Autumn and conveys the calm of the harvest, maturity, and the warm atmosphere for which this very season is known. The soft modelling and the subdued colour scheme give the figurine a classic expression that fits naturally into a collection of Danish porcelain.

The figurine is made by Royal Copenhagen and modelled by Hans H. Hansen. It is part of a seasonal series with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, which makes it especially interesting for collectors who appreciate figurines with narrative and mutual connection. The blue grapes and the white horn shape create a fine contrast with the figurine's light porcelain body, and the underglaze emphasises the calm, traditional expression.

As a porcelain figurine and child figurine, it contains both classic decoration and collector's value. It works beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of an arrangement with other Royal Copenhagen figurines. If you collect seasonal figurines, child figurines or older Danish porcelain with history and character, this model is an obvious choice. Older porcelain figurines like this one in particular add personality to the home and are at the same time a sustainable alternative to new production, because fine craftsmanship is allowed to live on.

The motif also makes the figurine suitable as a gift for a porcelain lover, for a collector of Royal Copenhagen or for someone who appreciates classic figurines with a poetic expression. The Autumn motif with grapes and cornucopia gives it a special place among seasonal figurines and makes it easy to combine with both other figurines from the series and other traditional decorative art in the home.
